Nature Lost Vault App Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Nature Lost Vault iOS application (the "App"), published by Galaxy Media Productions SL, a company registered in Spain ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms incorporate by reference Apple's Standard EULA for App Store apps as a baseline, with the additional terms below.

2. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service.

3. Account

To save plants and use the scanner you must create an account, either with email and password or via Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms and consents on your behalf.

4. Subscriptions

The App offers an optional Pro subscription that unlocks the plant scanner and full medicinal protocols. Free users can browse the gallery and read plant histories.

Pricing

  • Pro Monthly: US$9.99 per month (or local equivalent set by Apple)
  • Pro Annual: US$39.99 per year (or local equivalent set by Apple)

Prices are shown in your local currency at the point of purchase and may vary by country and over time. Apple's pricing tiers determine the actual amount charged.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period end at the then-current price.

Managing and cancelling

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iOS device. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of your current paid period.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com in accordance with Apple's refund policy. We do not process direct refunds.

Free trials and promotional offers

If we offer a free trial or promotional rate, the terms of that offer (including duration, eligibility, and conversion price) will be presented in the App at the time the offer is made. After the promotional period the standard subscription price applies until you cancel.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically copy our content.
  • Use the App in a way that interferes with our infrastructure (including abusing the scanner or making excessive automated requests).
  • Share your account with others or resell access to Pro content.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Content disclaimer

Educational content only. Not medical advice. The plant histories, traditional uses, and preparation notes in the App are provided for educational and historical-curiosity purposes only. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.

Plants discussed in the App may interact with medications, cause allergic reactions, or be unsafe during pregnancy or in combination with health conditions. Many plants have toxic look-alikes; never consume a wild plant based on App identification alone. Always consult a qualified herbalist, pharmacist, or doctor before using any plant medicinally, and confirm identification with multiple sources before consumption.

You use any information from the App at your own risk. We make no claim that the traditional uses described are safe or effective for any particular person or condition.

7. Plant identification

The scanner uses third-party machine learning (Plant.id by Kindwise) to suggest possible matches for the photo you submit. Identification is probabilistic and may be wrong, especially for partial photos, similar species, or rare plants. We are not responsible for any consequences of acting on a misidentified result.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including the brand, design, audio, illustrations, plant histories, and curated protocols, is owned by Galaxy Media Productions SL and protected by intellectual-property laws. The licence in Section 2 does not transfer any ownership. Trademarks of third parties referenced in the App belong to their respective owners.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our App Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how we use it.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scan results will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Galaxy Media Productions SL is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

Our aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or US$50, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or your statutory rights as a consumer).

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from within the App or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued operation becomes unlawful or impractical. Sections 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, and 14 survive termination.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of Barcelona, Spain, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when laws, the App, or our subscription model change. Material changes will be notified in-App or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
